O.C. White announces significant improvements and innovations to their world-standard microphone arms and riser. The new mic arm riser combination, O.C. White Model 61900BG, is designed to hide the microphone wire and improve appearance. The microphone wire is hidden for most of the length of the arm, yet is easy to install and remove.
The new base provides an invisible vertical wire channel through the riser, which is prewired to an XLR female imbedded at the top (set-screw removable), and 3 feet of pigtail extends from the base for the user to wire as needed. This makes attaching a mic cord to the outside of the riser unnecessary.
The new riser has risen to an overall height of 15 inches. This permits the riser to be installed immediately behind most low-profile VGAs and most near-field loudspeakers. The factory-installed riser mic wire exits straight down through the countertop or through a side channel at the bottom, as needed by the user. This solves what to do with mic wire from arm base to mounting surface.
In the new arm, the wire appears only at the mic end, at the "elbow" and the mount end. The arm also provides a channel for an optional mic cable to be added by the user. The user's cable may be prewired with connectors and installed or removed from the arm at any time. The arm requires no threading and there is no need to remove or reinstall connectors. The riser-installed connector is wired 1 shield, 2 white and 3 black.
A blunt-cut pigtail of mic wire protrudes at least 3 feet out of the bottom end of the riser for the user to connect as preferred.
The wire channel integrates a unique "zip-on, zip-off" mic wire cover, making the arm a 4-sided unit, covering and securing the mic cable. This zip-top snaps into place easily and removes just as easily, yet is entirely secure. This speeds installation and improves appearance to a more modern and pleasing effect. Strong music wire springs provide holding power without wavering.
The support system is available in several configurations and with several optional mounting choices, including a multiple arm mount that accommodates roundtable on-air discussions.
O.C. White Mic Arms use premium-quality, highly elastic Music wire springs. Unlike ordinary brittle steel springs that will 'crackle' and twang and squeak when physically moved or adjusted. O.C. White microphone arms are silent in motion, engineered and designed for the specific needs of broadcast professionals.
The model is 61900BG for black with gold springs, 61900 for beige with chrome springs.
